🐾 Wooflingo Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

Wooflingo ("the app") translates your dog's barks, whines, growls, and howls into funny, fictional first-person text using AI. This page explains what information the app uses and how.

No accounts, no sign-up

Wooflingo does not require you to create an account or log in. There is no email, password, or personal identity collected by the app itself.

What's stored on your device

Your dog profiles (name, breed, age, chosen personality, optional photo), translation history, and any audio you record all stay on your device in local app storage. We do not operate a database of this information, and it is not synced to any account of ours.

What's sent to our server

When you tap "Translate," the app sends the following to our backend to generate a result:

Your dog's actual recorded bark audio is not uploaded or sent anywhere — recording is used only for your own local playback and optional shareable image cards.

Third-party processors

To generate a translation and its voice, the information above (dog name, breed, age, personality, situation) is sent to:

These providers process the request to generate a response and do not receive any other information about you. Our backend infrastructure is hosted on Railway (railway.com).

Device permissions

Neither permission is used for tracking, and neither grants us access to anything beyond what you explicitly choose to record or select.

Subscriptions

Wooflingo offers an optional Pro subscription for unlimited translations. Subscription purchases, when enabled, are processed by Apple's App Store or Google Play and are subject to their respective privacy policies. We do not receive your payment details.

Children's privacy

Wooflingo is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
